Snuff Review:

One little toot of this, and I knew I'd just found a new favourite snuff.
Fabulous, rich toasted tobacco flavour- it smells like a freshly-opened pack of rolling tobacco.
In the nose its biscuity, sweet flavour is satisfying like nothing else.
This is the snuff equivalent of the after-dinner cigar, and as such, you should really have a cheese board and a glass of chilled Ruby or Tawny Port with it.
(If this is not your cup of tea, it also goes well with strong, dark ales).
Go careful with the snort as it is dry and fine.
I'm still waiting to discover a snuff I don't like from Tranters. I get the feeling it'll probably never happen!

Yes, indeed you're right,

Yes, indeed you're right, this is a nice little snuff and as always a chilled vino is the perfect accompaniment!

I belive that Tranters snuff is made from Wilson's so you may want to try out their High Toast no 22, which is also a great snuff, as indeed is the Samuel Gawith and Gawith Hoggarth versions.

So much choice, so little time to try it all!!!

That figures...

Ah, now that I did not know. My tin is actually labelled 'No22 Irish High Toast', even though it is badged as Tranter's.
That explains that then!
Thanks for the advice- although I really must stop buying more snuffs for a while, I've got about fifteen tins already!

all the best,

D.

You can never have enough

You can never have enough snuff Douglas! I find that my tastes differ every day and having a good range is vital.
Although as I sample all the snuffs that I sell, i have an ever increasing snuff collection - will nearly be at 100 soon!
