I love Royal George and F and T Irish but have always found RG a bit too sweet for all day use and Irish just a bit too pungent - despite 25 years of snuff taking. I don't really have a nose for blending but one day I was low on my usual SP and just decided to make use of the remains of a couple of tins of RG and Irish.

Amazingly, when combined these two snuffs tone each other right down, creating a mellow and delicate snuff. I've experimented with different ratios but half and half suit me. RG also works well with SP type snuffs and I would think that it would be pretty good with Tom Buck or Queens. I think the main point is to use a plain type snuff to mix with the RG. Give it a try
