I think I put my original post in the wrong place!
I have ordered from STUK a Toque chocolate bullet, as an
introductory to snuff taking. and I realise that I need much more advice from experienced snuffers as to what is best for a previous 20+ cigarette a day man who would need a nicotine 'hit'.

Hi there Metman and welcome to the wonderful world of snuffing!
There are so many different flavours that it is hard to recommend really. I would suggest a good beginners snuff is McChrystals Original and Genuine, most of the Poschl snuffs are quite good for beginners (mostly mentholated), the Zuka Black is quite refreshing, and most of the Samuel Gawith snuffs are quite light albeit a little dry.
However, if you want a nicotine hit I would go for McChrystals Smokers blend or one of the Gawith Hoggarth snuffs which seem to be stronger and give you more of a hit.
My favourite at the moment is the whisky, but any of them give you a bit of a kick really, although these are more of an acquired taste for experienced snuffers.
Good thing is snuff is so cheap so try out a few!
