Packard's Club

I was really disappointed to hear that Packard's Club has been withdrawn from the UK by Poschl's and can't understand why they would do so as it must be one of their best sellers here. Before discovering The Snuff Supermarket I bought most of my supplies from Martin McGahey who has a lovely old fashioned tobacconist shop in the centre of Exeter so last week I made the trek to Devon from South Wales to see if he had any left in stock. Martin then told me that he had in fact never stocked Packard's Club but he checked and found that it still appears on his importer's list. He offered to order it for me but said that I would have to take a full carton of 20 packs, an offer which I reluctantly refused as I still have five or six unopened packs and another 20 would have been shear gluttony! However while I was there I couldn't resist buying far too many new snuffs to try out and came back with more than 20 new varieties and am I glad that I did! I have now discovered Wilsons Crumbs of Comfort and I am certain that this will become one of my all time favourites, vying for first place with Packards. Martin also persuaded me to try Snuffy Weiss - just for a laugh - I mean who on earth would want to try a non tobacco based snuff? - and I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised how refreshing it was - a bit like sniffing talcum powder but very pleasant! I also bought a couple of packs of 12 assorted small Wilsons snuffs, which I don't think the Snuff Supermarket does (WHY NOT, Snuff Supermarket?) and discovered that one of the tins was of Wilsons White - another none tobacco based snuff - but in my humble opinion nothing like as good as the Poschl one.

McGahey's

Hi Youngbob, I have good things about Martin at McGaheys as well and he does seem to be a fountain of knowledge about snuff! I am really disappointed about Packard's Club no longer being available in the UK. It was one of my favourite snuffs and was also popular in the Snuff Supermarket, so I am a little suprised that Poschl have withdrawn this from the UK market. Packard's Club is to me a real 'gentleman's' snuff and I am going to treasure the 2 packs I have left for my own personal supply! With regards to Wilsons assorted pack I will speak to them directly and see if I can get some added to the Snuff Supermarket inventory! Unitl then Happy Snuffin' The Snuffman
