Hi Peter, For me the answers to your question would be that snuff falls into a few catagories,the dry snuffs like the Wilsons SP which you can get at the newsagents but will probably be old stock. Not to everyones taste i find them way to dusty. Moist ones, Fribourg and Treyer are excellent . They dont make you sneeze a lot like the dusty ones and the smell and sensation of the tobacco are more distinct and enjoyable in my opinion and finaly the mentholated type ones, Wilsons of Sharrow do a large range and a lot of the European ones are of this nature. The great thing about snuff is the huge range you can get, if you dont get on with one try another ,dont give up there will be one you like and then you will not want to be without it. By from a site like this with a big range so you know its fresh, buy the small weights and different sorts. For the enjoyment and range its cheap to do and when you find the right one will be well worth it ! any other questions just ask. When you find the one you like then get a good snuff box, keeps it fresher than keep opening the main tin and becomes a prized posession.
