Hi Ashman, welcome to the forum and a belated birthday greetings. Recommending snuff is always difficult as it depends on taste. But for a beginner you don't need the fine dry snuff. If you like a strong menthol then go for Hedges L260, but for a quiet nice mild easy to take Camphor & Menthol snuff, then I would advise McCrystal's Original & Genuine (O&G) For a none menthol that is easy then try Wilsons of Sharrow Best SP.it is flavoured with bergamot and citrus. Enjoy your snuff-taking. Royal George I haven't lost my mind. It's backed up on a disk somewhere.

Hi Ashman, I would recommend the Fribourg and Tryer range by Wilsons of Sharrow, any are excellent but Princes and old Paris are quite strong. There good if you are not keen on the over mentholated ones which i am not, best advice is to try lots of varieties, its very much personal taste. Post back your comments, see what the others think. My favourites are Macouba and Morlaix fom the F & T range. Good to see people using the forum !Wilsons, Burgundy is also quite easy to use.

Try fribourg snuff is good,I would say stay away from the soft and fluffy types as they make you sneeze alot to start with

Thank you for the warm welcome! Being young, and exciteable i jumped the gun and ordered a selection of snuff from this site before reading your suggestions! With a bit of luck they'll be waiting for me when i finish my nightshift so i shall sample them and let you know how i get on if your at all interested! Thanks again. Ashman Ps.
