Snuff Review:

When I opened the tin I was expecting a nice strawberry flavour, but I was welcomed by a smell that resembled some old cellar, not really nice. I was a little disappointed to say the least. When I took it up my newbie snuffnose I coughed a little once, because the smell was pretty discusting. Let's say the smell of something strange and not so nice takes up 8/10 and the somewhat fruity smell of strawberries takes up 2/10.

I can't really recommend this snuff, but I've only done snuff for about three weeks now (I've only tried McChrystal's and some different brands of Pöschl's uptil now) so I'm not really sure, maybe that strange smell is something veteran snuffers appreciate?

Try airing the tin.

Sometimes snuff's have an overriding smell to start with that is not at all pleasant, and slightly fishlike. I think this smell is amonia, which is a by product of the fermentation
process. If this is the case then it isn't necessarily bad as it means it comes from a fresh batch.

Don't worry though this usually goes away after a while after it has been airated and had chance to breath

I've let the tin just sit on

I've let the tin just sit on the table open so it gets air a couple of times. The stench is there still, and it's nothing like fish smell. It's just some stench I can't describe that completely rapes the pleasant strawberry smell, that is definitely there in the background. Shame, really.

Maybe it gets better when I've aired it even more. But still, I don't want to air a tin for several hours once I get them...
